All about Roy

I can't believe that my baby boy is two now. I'll hopefully get pictures of his birthday loaded soon (but please don't hold your breath). My friend Sam took this picture and it shows the true Roy through and through. His face is always dirty because the best foods leave a mess behind and he is too busy going to stop and get himself washed. He loves to be outside (the picture is him in our pasture) wandering to his heart's desire and splashing in every puddle in sight. Thanks to a new birthday present he also spends lots of hours "mowing" the lawn, driveway, carpet, anything he can push his bubble mower around. The days where his indoor personality mom keeps him inside he loves to watch "Manny or Woody" aka Handy Manny and Toy Story, though recently we added "Bugs" (A Bug's Life) to the mix. I'm sad to say that when his shows come on he doens't clap his hands and say yeah anymore. I guess being 2 you're just too cool to show general excitement. I'm getting sad just thinking about all the little things he doesn't do anymore. I guess I should move on to the classics that will never go away. He loves his fruit snacks and pudding. In fact he's starting to try to climb the panty shelves to get them himself, thank goodness they're spread far apart. Funny thing about climbing: he has no idea that you could try climbing out of the crib. He just yells for me, lets me know he's up, but most mornings and naps I have to wake him up because it's time to go or he's been asleep for 3 + hours. I know I have a good sleeper, keep in mind though, it's only when he's already asleep... Getting him there is a whole other story. He'll sit on the floor building with his legos, his preference is building airplanes, he likes to read books and drive his trucks all over the living room and kitchen. He has the back up beep down pat.
Roy is one of the happiest, sweetest boys ever! He always runs to help his cousin Autumn if she ever falls down, chanting "help" the entire time. The cutest thing is that she'll sit there waiting for him to help her. I think a little bit of his Uncle Brian is in him, he makes all sorts of mouth music and sounds (sometimes even with a binky in his mouth). I could go on and on about him and all his loves. He really is the greatest little guy a mom could get.
