MORE PICTURES!!!

The past YEAR!!!

I'm going to try to be better about blogging, we cancelled our dial up because it sucks after having high speed, but I'm going to bring the laptop to mom's on the days Roy is at his other Grandma's. So long story short... I'll fill in what we've been up to later, here are a bunch of pictures.

INTERNET!!!!

Scott and I have signed up for the internet. At this point we're just waiting for our little kit so we can get hooked up. I'm so excited for it to come. I have so many cute pictures of Roy, plus his birthday and little movies of him to brag about. So be on the lookout!!!!

How can you blog without the internet?

For those of you who haven't heard, my little family and I have moved to the sticks. To better give you an idea, a bumbper sticker can describe it perfectly "WHERE IN THE HE** IS GOBLE, OR?" Scott and I are hoping to get in the swing of it all and once we have a better idea of how much we're spending in electricity and groceries we hope to get the internet hooked up. Until then I have to be on the ball enough to get our laptop (it has all the pics in it) all set to make a trip to town so I can update to fullest extent. I have some good movies of Roy's mischief. Love to all who read us.

1st SNOW

I think I have a snowbuddy on my hands!

The Gun Club!

Roy is just like his Papa, a gun lover. He didn't hesitate to help Scott clean this shotgun he borrowed. Though Roy mostly banged different parts together. I know Scott can't wait for Roy to big enough to go shooting, but I think Roy can't wait either!

8 MONTHS OLD

At least I'm a little ahead and he's not quite 9 months old yet, as opposed to his 7 month post that happened after he was 8 months old.
Roy is getting so big. He crawls everywhere. At first he stuck with the army crawl, but has now mastered true crawling, though he reverts back to the army crawl when he's after something specific and needs to get it in a hurry. His favorite and only real sound is "BUH". He says lots, but it's mostly sounds, screeches and growls. Roy still isn't too big. We're wearing both 6-9 month clothes and a lot of our old 3-6 month stuff. I have had to put away a few pairs of pants that were getting to the high water point. He's no shrimp boat by any means, and he's not fat, just a nice solid, little man. He's full of smiles and loves everyone!

Christmas at Home

After all of our running around to celebrate, we were finally home, and made it just in time for presents! (Lucky us that Maeli slept in) There aren't any pictures of Scott or I opening our stockings and presents, but we can all admit, IT'S ALL ABOUT ROY! This Christmas thing was down pat, by now. Except that all his presents seemed so cool to him that he wanted to play and stop opening. Luckily some of his presents required assembly, so Roy and I kept opening and Scott did what papa's do best, put stuff together. I have a video to upload of Roy and his plane. I really wanted Scott and I to pick out Roy's Christmas present together. It was a big fiasco at Target (too many crazy parents raiding the toy aisles), so we stopped at Freddies on the way home. Scott picked out this plane and it has been Roy's favorite ever since. I think I have a little pilot on my hands.

A Goble Christmas!

We stayed in Goble at Scott's parents (as to be there bright and early for Christmas morning). The night was cold, Scott got up about 4 am to build a fire. His original plan was that someone would come down at 6 and he would throw another log on, but we all slept until later and the fire died down quite a bit. But Royboy didn't mind. He was in his new fuzzy Christmas jammies. Everyone got their presents opened and played with and Grandpa (Ron) made us pancakes for breakfast. Delicious!

A Merry Christmas Eve!

We had Christmas Eve at Grandma Hooker's as usual. This was Roy's first opportunity to open presents. He did pretty good. Mostly though it was about getting Autumn.

SANTA CLAUSE or...

BUDDY BEAR
Our vote is for Santa (grandpa). Though we were awake for Buddy Bear, our excitement for Santa competely wore us out. However Roy was able to convey is wishlist to Santa through soft snoring, because he managed to get everything he could want and more!

Catching up

I don't want to just fill you in because I have some cute pictures of what we've been up to, just know that soon the blog we'll be caught up. I don't want to skip anything or just lump them together because Roy is just too cute to not have lots of pictures posted. I guess this is my downfall from getting a new camera, I don't have to load every 20 pictures anymore. So thus I don't get new posts done. But they are coming, I promise, we'll be caught up before he's 9 months old. Promise, promise, promise

He's Just TOO CUTE!!!!

"Can't I please open my prestents?"

It's tree time

On behalf of it being Roy's first Christmas, we all trekked out to the hills of Deer Island, to get the Christmas tree. Roy held the seat of honor upon his Papa's shoulders so he would be able to point out the best one. After he did, Scott and Grandpa set about to cut it down. But of course we weren't going to let them have all the fun, so Roy and I trimmed up the end a little. Grandpa and Scott carried it out, Grandma paid, and we headed back to St. Helens to give it the 24 hour laying behind the shop treatment before decorating. A most productive trip!

Sweet Potatoes and Turkey for Everyone!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our day started with breakfast at Uncle Joe's and then off to Great Aunt Jill's for dinner. Roy was happy and charming to everyone. He had his babyfood Thanksgiving dinner, I tried bites of mashed potatoes, but he didn't seem to care for them (probably because I don't do gravy). And I had a plate full of all the classic side dishes, my favorite, yumm! Scott was there, just spent most of his time outside, the house was pretty stuffy and he doesn't like huge groups of people where you can hardly move. He did however step in to be our photographer.
